Ruth W. (Bergstrom) Ingalls, 82, passed away September 19, 2006 in Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence in Worcester. She leaves her husband of 58 years, John J. Ingalls; a son, Douglas Ingalls of Rochdale; a step-daughter, Anita Bishop of Nebraska; a sister, Lennea Gregg of Buzzards Bay, MA; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George & Edith (Wiberg) Bergstrom and has lived in Leicester and Port Charlotte, FL. Ruth was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker Junior College. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Worcester, membership secretary at the Spencer United Methodist Church for 25 years, a volunteer at Rutland Heights Hospital for 10 years and a former treasurer of the Cedar Meadow Lake Assoc. Ruth was a league bowler for many years and an avid card player.
Friends and family are invited to join together on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence, 631 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will be private for the family in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Omit flowers. Donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 119 Belmont St., Worcester, MA 01605-9920.
