Subscription Update Obituary

   Lorri S. (Hoffman) Manzaro, 49, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 4th 2008, in her home surrounded by her devoted family, after a long battle with Breast Cancer.

   Lorri was born in Worcester, April 15, 1959, her father was the late, A. Bruce Hoffman; she graduated from Burncoat High School and Quinsigamond CC and has lived here all her life.

   Lorri is survived by her beloved husband and partner of 29 years, Michael L. Manzaro, Sr., her devoted three children, Kristen E., Michael L. Jr. and Dominic B. Manzaro; a cherished granddaughter, Marissa; and her mother, Sandra (Bodo) Hoffman all of Worcester; a brother, Anthony B. Hoffman of Hubbardston; four sisters, Cheryl Tambolleo of Barre, twins Debra Richardson of Worcester and Donna Lindsay in California, and Nicole Marinelli of Holden; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Lorri worked as a respiratory therapist for the Umass-Memorial Healthcare, Memorial campus, 23 years before retiring, due to illness.

   She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary church. Lorri was active in local activities raising money for the fight against breast cancer. She enjoyed gardening, summers at the Cape and most of all her family. Her family was her strength and devotion in her cancer fight. Lorri's granddaughter, Marissa, was her light and inspiration.

   Lorri's funeral will be held Tuesday, July 8th from The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 35 Fales Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, July 7th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Relay for Life, care of American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St. 01604 or the Peter Levine Cancer Center, care of the Umass-Memorial Foundation, P.O.Box 2795, Worcester, 01613.
