Judith A. (Warren) Szalay, 70, a former longtime resident of Charlton, passed away peacefully after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 45 years, Geza T. Szalay; two sons, Gregg M. Szalay of Charlton; Glenn A. Szalay and is wife Lori A. Szalay along with their children Zachary, Matthew and Cameron all of Auburn.

Judy was born in Worcester, MA on June 1,1942. She grew up in East Brookfield, MA and attended David Prouty High School. Judy worked as a hairdresser, nurses’ aide, and later provided home health care for many people. She was an active member of the Helping Hand Society of Charlton, MA for over 20 years. Judy was an avid Red Sox fan; enjoyed gardening, crocheting and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed her many trips to Foxwoods and simply spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Helping Hand Society, PO Box 643, Charlton, MA. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with the arrangements.
