Subscription Update Obituary

   John G. "Jack" Marr, 79, of Auburn died peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, in Radius Healthcare Center, Worcester, with his loving family at his side.

   He leaves his wife of 52 years, Patricia (Henne) Marr, of Auburn. He also leaves a daughter, Christine M. Corey and her husband John of Auburn; a son John G. Marr, Jr. and his wife Beth of Sturbridge; two grandchildren, Sean M. O'Connor of Auburn, and John G. "Jay" Marr, III, of Sturbridge; a brother William H. Marr of Ipswich, and two sisters; Shirley Mantha of Worcester, and Marjorie Berard, of Worcester; a sister-in-law Joy M. Bousquet, and her companion John Scully both of Rutland, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

  He was born in North Adams, and was the son of William Marr and Dora (Rougeau) Marr; he retired from the Worcester Post Office. He loved to dance and entertain friends and family with his "famous" barbeque chicken. He loved to travel with his wife in their R.V. and they toured the lower United States, Alaska, and Canada. They also spent winters in Venice, FL enjoying the warm sun.

   His funeral Mass will be celebrated May 3rd, at 11:00 AM in Saint Anne's Parish, North Oxford, a reception will follow. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
