Subscription Update Obituary

   Joan (Stricklen) Dapsis, 70, of Worcester, died at home on Thursday, October 25, after being stricken ill.

   Mrs. Dapsis is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph A. Dapsis of Worcester; a son, Lawrence J. Dapsis and his wife Ruth of Middleboro; three daughters, Mary E. Carlson and her husband Robert of Worcester, Susan A. Joanis and her husband Paul of Uxbridge and Julia K. Dapsis of Ware; a brother, Warren Stricklen of Millbury; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

   Mrs. Dapsis was born in Natick, MA daughter of Troy and Ellen (Clough) Stricklen and is predeceased by a son, Joseph A. Dapsis Jr.; a brother, Zeke Stricklen and a sister, Flora Prindle.

   Joan volunteered her time at the Worcester Lodge of Elks Bingo and Our Lady of Fatima Bingo. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, watching the Red Sox and spending time with her family.

   A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Monday, October 29 from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
