Subscription Update Obituary

    Florence A. (Manning) Boehnke, 73, of 84 Mount Pleasant Avenue, a life-long resident of Jefferson, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a sudden illness.

    She leaves her husband of 39 years, Edward C. Boehnke; her son, Carl E. Boehnke of Jefferson; a daughter, Janice E. McNamara of Princeton; two step-sons, Richard C. McNamara of Hawaii and James C. McNamara of Sterling; a step-daughter, Sharon Glennon of Clinton; many nephews and nieces and grandnephews and nieces.  She was born in Holden, daughter of William and Mary P. (Brazeau) Manning, and was a graduate of Ascension High School in Worcester.

    Mrs. Boehnke was a professional twister for 20 years at Standard Yarn Co. in Worcester.  She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Church and the Notre Dame Alumni.
