Subscription Update Obituary

   Edward F. Bourget, 87, of Shrewsbury died Monday, March 12, 2007 at his home after an illness. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Marguerite O. (LaFortune) Bourget; four children, Carole A. Peluso of Worcester, Edward H. Bourget of Shrewsbury, Lynne M. Tyrel of Clearwater, Fla. and Cynthia A. Krull of Worcester; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. His grandson, Daniel Krull, died in 1994.

  Eddie was born in Worcester and lived in Shrewsbury for 60 years. He was the last surviving child of the ten children of Philip and Katherine (Dooley) Bourget. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an owner for many years of Bourget Brothers Garage on Route 20 in Worcester, before retiring. He was a member of the Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, the Disabled American Veterans and the State Police Association. He was an avid fan of his grandchildren and the Boston Red Sox.

   Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Wednesday, March 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, March 15th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
