Subscription Update Obituary

    Christine A. (Turco) Masiello, 86, of 111 Country Club Blvd., died Saturday, May 20, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center – – Memorial Campus, after an illness.
    She leaves her husband of 65 years, Ralph A. Masiello; a son, Frank J. Masiello of Oxford; three daughters, Shirley A. Barlar of Leicester, and Joanne A. Lennon and Judith A. Grynsel, both of Worcester; five sisters, Mary Fortunato, Rose Ricciardi, Margaret Simoncini and Dorothy Locantore, all of Worcester, and Raphaela Bogigian of Peabody; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Henry and Charles Turco, and three sisters, Nancy Giacobba, Yolanda Consiglio and Anne Porcaro, died before her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Bombina (Terranova) Turco, and lived here all her life. She attended Worcester schools.
    Mrs. Masiello was a housekeeper for 15 years at the Belmont Home, retiring in 1977. She previously worked at St. Vincent Hospital.  She enjoyed traveling and volunteer work, and at one time was active in the mothers' club at Adams Street School.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 24, from Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
