Beatrice A. (Almonte) Wilczynski, passed away at age 95 on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Millbury Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Beatrice’s husband, Henry S. Wilczynski predeceased her in 1998. She leaves her children Theodore Wilczynski and his wife Micky, of Hardwick, Nancy Stratford of Auburn and her longtime companion James “Skip” McCann of Millbury, Michael Wilczynski of Millbury, and Susan Dufresne and her husband Jim of Millbury. She also leaves nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, a brother, John Almonte and his wife Grace of Holden, two sisters, Julia Natola of Connecticut and Rita Turo of Shrewsbury, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her four brothers, Orlando, Pasquale, Albert, and Joseph, along with one grandson Alexander Wilczynski of Hardwick and daughter-in-law Catherine Wilczynski.

For many years, Beatrice worked over 30 years in retail, but she was mostly a full time Mom caring for her four children. Anyone who passed through her home never left with an empty stomach. Everything she had, she always gave to the people she loved. Along with being a perpetual “Italian Grandmother”, she loved playing cards, knitted everyone she knew a scarf, and kept the ducks at Dorothy Pond fully fed. Nona fully held her family’s hearts, and she will be sorely missed.

Beatrice’s funeral will be held on Monday, February 23rd with a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Her calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Health Care Center c/o Activities Fund of the Shrewsbury Unit, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.
