Subscription Update Obituary
Vincent A. Maleckas, 87, died Thursday, February 22, at UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years Carol (Jobes) Maleckas. He leaves two sisters, Anna Leseman of Worcester and Eva Arrell of Gallilee, RI, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two daughters, Judith Maleckas and Maureen Rubel; a brother Alphonse B. Maleckas, who died during the Invasion of Normandy , WWII, and four sisters, Angela K. Roy, Catherine Sullivan, Sophie Maleskas and Antoinette Maleskas. He was born in Worcester, son of Alexander and Catherine (Sakalauskas) Maleckas.

He worked for Paul Revere Insurance for many years prior to retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Casimir’s Church and its Men’s Club.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, February 24, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m St. Casimir’s Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Casimir’s Church Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester, MA, 01604.
