Subscription Update Obituary

     Robert P. DelSignore, 70, beloved husband of Cheryl A. (LeBoeuf) DelSignore, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014 with his family and best friends by his side. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of the late Rinaldo M. and May E. (Vincent) DelSignore.

     In addition to his wife of 44 years, Bob leaves his three daughters, Alicia M. DelSignore of Arlington, Maria B. Fanelli and her husband, Robert of Westborough, and Elizabeth A. DelSignore of Boston; his precious grandchildren, Alexander and Nina Fanelli; his brother, Louis DelSignore and his wife, Gwynn of Princeton; two sisters; and many lifelong friends.

     Bob graduated from Saint John’s High School in 1961. He earned his BA in economics from Boston College in 1965 and his JD from Suffolk University School of Law in 1973. Bob was an outstanding athlete, having played football and baseball at Saint John’s and football at B.C. He was inducted into the Saint John’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. He was a lifelong B.C. football fan and rarely missed a game.

     Bob served in the Army National Guard for 21 years in the 110th Armor Division out of Clinton. He was an avid outdoorsman, treasured his annual hunting trips and time at hunting camp in NH. He was a member of the Bohemians and the Dante Alighieri Society. He was a voracious reader, loved cooking, and cherished his Italian heritage.

     Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Bob’s family from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm in Saint John’s Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester, on Friday, March 21. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts General Hospital, Melanoma Research Fund, MGH Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
