Subscription Update Obituary

Mary (Grecho) Craft, 78, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, July 13th 2012 with her family by her side after a period of declining health.
Mary was born in Natick, the youngest of six children of Pando and Alexandra Grecho. June 8th marked sixty years since she married the love of her life Harold E. Craft. Together they raised three children and saw their family grow and lived here as a loving family all their life.
Mary is survived by her husband Harold, two children, Andrew P. Craft of Manchester CT, and Alexandra Nelson of Worcester; her daughter in law Karen D. Craft of Worcester; four grandchildren she adored and whom adored her, Joshua R., Bryant E, Elizabeth R and Myles W.; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In July 2004, almost eight years to the day, she lost her eldest son Charles E. Craft.
Mary’s love for children was shown in her employment. She worked over 30 years as an instructional aide for the Worcester School Department at various schools, retiring from New Ludlow Street School in 2004. Mary was a member of St Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church. She loved country music, travel and tending her house plants. Family was most important to her. She found greatest times in her life with them around her.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, July 17th from 5 pm to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Wednesday July 18th from the funeral home with a service at 11:00 am in St Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mary’s name can be made to the Holy Trinity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 300 Barber Ave. Worcester 01605.
