Irene M. (Castonguay) Plante, 82 passed away unexpectedly December 22, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul J. Plante; three children, Linda Daigneault of Uxbridge, Roger W. Plante and his wife Cherie of Millbury, Dennis J. Plante of South Grafton; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters passed before Mrs. Plante. She was born July 13, 1927 in Grafton, the daughter of the late Theodore and Marie (LaFerriere) Castonguay and was a lifelong resident of Grafton. Irene was a parishioner of St. James Church in South Grafton and she enjoyed crafts, bingo, music and especially caring for her large family. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff at The Geriatric Authority of Milford for their love and care to Mrs. Plante during her residence there. Donations may be made in her name to The Geriatric Authority of Milford Resident Activities, 1 Countryside Drive, Milford MA 01757 in lieu of flowers.

    All are invited to calling hours Sunday, December 27th from 2 to 4 pm in The Roney Funeral Home, 124 Main St. in South Grafton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 28th at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton. She will then be laid to rest in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
