Subscription Update Obituary

     Geraldine “Geri” (Farrin) Washkevich, of Grafton, died peacefully on February 12, 2013 with her family by her side and in the care of the loving staff of Beaumont Nursing Home and Hospice Care of Northbridge. She is the daughter of the late Violet Dansereau and Forrest Farrin. She was born in Worcester an lived in Grafton most of her life. Geri was married to her loving husband, John Washkevich who passed away in 1987. She is survived by her four daughters, Jeannie Croteau of North Grafton, Carol Maynard of Hudson, FL., Laurie Berthiaume and her husband Joseph of Grafton and Karen McQueen and her husband Steven of Sutton. She also leaves her dear grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Tricia, Jimmy Jr., Joshua, Leah, Kaitlin and Ashley and her great-grandchildren, Blake, Sean, Alicia, Mikey and Tasana. Geri was the youngest of eight children. She is survived by her sisters, Mae Brodeur of Riverside, CA., and Irene Farrin of North Adams. She is predeceased by her sisters Shirley Ball of Rutland, Nancy Brosnihan of North Adams, Dorothy Goodermote of Stamford, VT., Gloria Whipple of North Adams and her brother Forrest “Sonny” Farrin, Jr. of Whitehall, MI. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Geri was a very loving mother and homemaker. She was a social butterfly and family and friends were her life.
     The funeral will be held on Friday, February 15, with a service at 12:00 NOON in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St.,( Rte 122 ) Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, February 15 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 NOON prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN., 38148 – 0142.
