Subscription Update Obituary

     Elmer Frank Stoneback, 82, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, November 30, 2013. Elmer was predeceased by his wife, Carol (LaMarche) Stoneback in 2003. He leaves behind his daughter, Ann-Marie Conant of Brookfield; two stepsons, David Silvestris of California and Mark Silvestris of Cape Cod; his sister, Helen Pouliot of New Orleans, LA; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

     Elmer was born in Worcester, the son of Elmer L. and Emelia E. (Balser) Stoneback. He graduated from Major Howard Memorial High School in Shrewsbury and New England School of Accounting. Elmer was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Marine Corp. Elmer worked for over 50 years at John J. Adams Die Corp. before retiring. Elmer enjoyed many things but a few of his favorite things were gardening, yard work, cooking, going to casinos, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

     A visiting period for Elmer will take place on Wednesday, December 4th from 10:00 until 11:00 am at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
