Subscription Update Obituary

     Edward J. Collette Jr., 73, died Thursday, October 31st in West Boylston after a long illness.

     His wife of 45 years, Helen T. (Donovan) Collette died in 2011. He leaves a son Edward J. Collette III, and his son Edward J. Collette IV of Barre; a son Tyler H. Collette, his wife Christina and their two children Derek and Catherine of Holden and his daughter Danielle L. Erickson, her husband Edwin and their five children Kyle Barton, Austin, Scott, Alex, and Jack Erickson of West Boylston; four sisters, Rita White of Millbury, Karen Erickson of Oxford, Claire Ferrero of Brookfield and Janice Williams of Millbury and many nieces and nephews. A brother, William Supernor and a sister, Judith Gerber predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Edward J. Collette, Sr. and Emma (Lloyd) Collette and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. Edward was a Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War.

     Edward was head of the maintenance department at Adcare Hospital for many years, before retiring, prior to that he worked for the Worcester Carpenters Local #107. He was an avid hunter and gun collector and enjoyed country music, especially David Pike and the Good Old Boys.

     Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday, October 5 at 11:00 am at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Arrangements in the care FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. There will be no calling hours. Please omit flowers and make memorial donations to the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
