Leon Joseph Plourde, 81, formerly of Worcester, died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Evergreen Health Center in Stafford Springs, Conn.
He was born in Ayer. He was the son of John and Caroline (Cyr) Plourde. He lived most of his life in Worcester. He later lived in Iowa and moved to Conn. five years ago.
Leon was a machinist for many years in the factory of the Lindberg Heat Treating Co. on Grove St., in Worcester. He worked on the production of gun parts.
He leaves his wife, Nancy Lloyd; three daughters, Christine Plourde Davis of East Brookfield, Kimberly Plourde Loomis of Grimes, Iowa, and Caroline Plourde of Maine; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
There will be calling hours Sunday, February 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. There will be a service in the funeral home Monday, February 4, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton
