Subscription Update Obituary

     Vivian A. (Oberg) Hilli, 79, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She leaves 3 sons- Theodore Hilli and his wife Melissa of Southbridge, William Hilli and his wife Lisa of Worcester, and Robert Hilli and his wife Mary Ellen of Worcester, and a daughter- Suzanne Hilli of Worcester, 8 grandchildren; Erin, Andrew and Kevin O’Day, Robert, William and Virginia Hilli, all of Worcester, Nathan and Elizabeth Hilli of Southbridge and 3 great-grandchildren, she also leaves a brother- Donald Oberg and his wife Ann of Princeton, and many nieces and nephews. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Theodore R. Hilli, Jr., a daughter Linda O’Day, and her brothers- Frank and William Oberg.

Vivian was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Harold and Marjorie (Edwards) Oberg. She graduated from Commerce High School. She worked at Astra Pharmaceutical many years ago and worked many years as a Quality Control Inspector at Vellumoid, Inc in Worcester before she retired. The most important job that she cherished was that of being a great mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Greendale Peoples Church. She enjoyed bingo, doing puzzles, and reading the Bible. She always looked forward to watching her religious programs on Saturday nights. She was once an avid bowler and a member of the Lady Strikers League at the Lincoln Lanes. The family would like to thank the staffs at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital and Memorial Hospital’s CCU for the compassionate care given to Vivian

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, 189 May Street, Worcester or to UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont Street, Worcester.
