Subscription Update Obituary

     Thomas J. Murdock, 51, of Worcester died Thursday, March 9th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a short illness. He leaves his parents, Richard M. Murdock, Sr. and Ann E. (Fitzgerald) Murdock with whom he lived. Thomas also leaves his sister, Lisa A. Dziemian and her husband, Frank of Auburn; his brother, Richard M. Murdock, Jr. of Worcester; his nieces, Kara M. Fox and her husband, Jeffrey and their daughter, Ava M. of Oxford, Meaghan E. Hammond and her husband, Chadd of Worcester; his nephew, David J. Pierce of Worcester; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was born in Worcester and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College. Tom had a passion for cooking and displayed his skills while a chef at several restaurants including Coes Café and the Webster House.
Tom’s family wishes to thank the staff of the 7th floor ICU for their compassionate care.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to St. John’s Food Pantry, 40 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604 or to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
