Subscription Update Obituary

     Susan A. (Clarke) Brick, 66, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at home after an illness. She leaves her beloved husband of 43 years, Ronald L. Brick; her mother-in-law Doris E. Brick; a brother-in-law Kenneth Brick and his wife Linda of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister-in-law Gail Kackiela and her husband Charles of Auburn; a niece Melinda Mahan; a nephew Michael Brick; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and many dear friends including Chris & Jen Ferron, Paul & Linda Flynn, Kelly & Chris Kauppila, Karen Marzilli, Vicki Smith, and Joan Talbot.

Susan was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Carl and Ingeborg (Swanberg) Clarke. She graduated from Burncoat High School and Becker Jr. College. She worked as a legal secretary for Phillips, Silver and Talman and as a secretary for the Worcester Bus Company. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, enjoyed swimming in her backyard pool, taking walks on the beach, and watching soap operas on television.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at VNA Hospice and Laura’s Angels for their compassionate care during Susan’s illness. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester MA 01608. Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is assisting the family with the arrangements.
