Subscription Update Obituary

Stephen J. Cook, 62, of Spencer, died Monday, Jan. 15th. at his home due to a tragic fall. He leaves his wife of 23 years,  Kandi M. (Race) Cook, his daughters; Sara Bates and her husband Joseph of Rutland, Crystal Cook and her wife Kimberly of Holden, Colleen Cook of Worcester and Kimberly Ray and her husband Randall of Eugene, Oregon, his brothers; Robert Cook and his wife Lynne of Lunenburg and Thomas Cook and his wife Cindy of Charlton, his twin sister; Mary Deotte and her husband Greg of No. Brookfield, 3 grandchildren; Jonathan Cook of Boston, Zackary Beeso of Holden and Ronan Ray of Eugene, several nephews and nieces. He was anticipating the arrival of his fourth grandson due in April. He is predeceased by his son; Joseph Cook in 2018.

Steve was born in Worcester, the son of Robert J. and Daisy (McInnis) Cook and later graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He was the maintenance supervisor at Polar Beverages in Worcester where he worked for the past 30 years. He enjoyed camping, travelling, the New England Patriots, and Saturday night card games.  His biggest joy was spending time with his family and bragging about his grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20th at 11 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A period of visitation will precede the services from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 55 Roxbury St., Unit 191083, Boston, MA 022119.
