Subscription Update Obituary

Stanley V. Sanko,86, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died Friday, March 22 in West Side House, Worcester. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Flora L. (Mansfield) Sanko, his sons; Timothy Sanko and his wife Nancy and Kevin Sanko all of Leicester, Richard Sanko of Cherry Valley, George Dalton and his wife Melissa of Auburn, his daughters; Linda Szymczak and her husband Stephen of Paxton, Sharon Dalton of Ft. Mills, SC., Donna Ellis and her husband Paul of Wales, and Sherry Willis and her husband John of Union, ME., his brother; Edward Sanko of Grafton, many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters; Ann Stoddard and Helen Mantyla.

Stanley was a longtime truck driver for the former McLean Trucking prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a New England Patriots Fan.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of George and Sophie (Bagdanovich) Sanko.

A funeral service for Stan will be held on Wednesday, March 27th. at 11 a.m. in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
