Shirley M. Cross, 94, of Worcester, died on Tuesday November 8, 2022 at home after a brief illness.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanore Mallett, and four generations of nieces and nephews: 6 nieces/nephews, 15 great-nieces/nephews, 8 great-great-nieces/nephews and 4 great-great-great-nieces/nephews. All 35 nieces and nephews were very special to Aunt Shirley. She made them all feel like her favorite. Fortunate to be able to provide care to Shirley in her last days were Lynn, Marie, Jean, Samantha and Max. Shirley is predeceased by her parents, her brother Kenneth Cross and sister Phyllis Fisher, a nephew Donald Mallett, and a niece Susan Pierce. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Kenneth and Florence (Donnell) Cross. She resided in Worcester all of her 94 years.

Shirley worked at Phifer Shoe for many years and later retired from Guaranty Bank where she was a processor for 15 years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, the beach and traveling. She was a New York Yankees fan, and we all loved her despite that.
