Sarah E. Chrobak 85, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH. Sarah was born June 5, 1931 in Worcester, MA., daughter to the late Arthur Snow Sr. and Emily Swallow Snow. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years, most of that time spent at Worcester City Hospital in Massachusetts working in their various departments such as the Labor and delivery, ICU and the alcohol treatment unit. In her later years she did in home nursing care. Sarah was a voracious reader and could pick up any craft with ease. She particularly enjoyed sewing and knitting but her passions were cooking, her dogs, antiques, family and helping people. Over her lifetime she has fostered over 27 children and helped so many more. Her selflessness and love for helping those in need granted her the honor of being awarded the humanitarian award in Worcester, Massachusetts. Sarah is survived by her two sons, Stephen A. Chrobak and his wife, Ann Marie of Gilford, NH and Robert McGill of Spencer, MA; two daughters, Cathleen Nelson and her husband, Robert of East Brookfield, MA and Leah McGill of Spencer, MA; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Stephen P. Chrobak and her brother Arthur Snow Jr. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10:00am at Tri Life Church, at 166 Holden St. Worcester, MA.
