Subscription Update Obituary

Sandra L. (Canane) Girouard, 60, of GH Wilson Road died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 in her home after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 44 years Reginald L. Girouard, Sr., a son Reginald L. “Gig” Girouard, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Spencer, a daughter Sharon C. Grieve and her husband Christopher of Pikeville, NC, two brothers Robert Canane of FL and Brian Canane of Maine, three sisters Charlene Brennan of Leicester, twin sister Sue Ellen Smith of Leicester and Lisa King of Maine, seven grandchildren Brittney, Lucas & Gabriel Girouard, Collin & Christopher, Jr. Grieve and Jillian & Jason Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was born in Worcester, daughter of Francis and June (Mondor) Canane. She owned and operated Sandy’s Daycare for 27 years. She loved spending time with her family.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 18 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made toSt. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
