Subscription Update Obituary

     Sandra J (Loomer) Quercio, 75 of Harwich passed away with her beloved husband Frederick and loved ones gathered by her side.

Sandra was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter and Claire (DeLaurier) Loomer. She was raised and educated In Worcester where she met and married her high school sweetheart Frederick Quercio. They spent over 60 years together, dedicated to each other and their family. They raised their family in Worcester and retired to Fort Lauderdale before moving to Harwich in 2013.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Frederick; her three children, Lisa M. Gough and her husband John B of Harwich, Mark J. Quercio and his wife Lisa A of Douglas, Jason F. Quercio and his fiancée Julie Anzalone of Framingham; her three siblings, Brian K Loomer and his wife Celeste of Pembroke Pines Florida, Wayne V. Loomer and his wife Paula, Joyce E. DiNardo and her husband Victor all of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren whom she cherished and was so proud of, Joseph Blondin, Sarah Beauregard, Danny J. Gough, Emma B., Elizabeth A., Andrew J., and Olivia M. Quercio; two great grandchildren; Lucas and Lana; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Although much of her life was challenged by illness her will and spirit remained strong. She derived great strength from her husband Frederick who devoted his life to being by her side.

She enjoyed her time with family and friends and took great joy in traveling with Frederick, always by her side. She was a devoted mother, who always set aside her own needs to focus on her children or anyone else who needed a sympathetic ear.

Her unwavering faith kept her at peace through all of life’s ups and downs. Her passing has left a void in our hearts, but her spirit will remain with us always.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, October 30th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made The Arthritis Foundation.
