Subscription Update Obituary

     Ruth A. (Petrauskas) Lettic, 91 of Worcester, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, 555 Plantation Street. Her husband Daniel M. Lettic died in 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel M. Lettic and his wife Karen of Worcester and Thomas Lettic and his wife Paula of Northborough; four grandchildren, Amanda Lettic, Daria Lay, Andrea Lettic and Nicholas Lettic; three great-grandchildren, Tres Lay, Ayla Savona Lettic and Eva Ruth Lettic Foster; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three sisters, Nellie Anger, Julia Pomer and Stella Baltrukonis. She was born in Worcester a daughter of Isadore and Anna (Grigaliauskas) Petrauskas.

Mrs. Lettic worked as a clerk-typist for the City of Worcester for many years at David Hale Fanning School before retirement. Prior to that, she worked at US Envelope Co. She was a member and past president of the Lithuanian War Veterans Auxiliary and the Charitable Society of Maironis Park. As an athletic fan, she enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She enjoyed being outdoors and perfecting her hedges and flower gardens. Mrs. Lettic’s real passion came with raising her family and watching them grow.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Notre Dame du Lac and Long Term Care for the kindness and consideration to Ruth and Daniel during their years with them.

The funeral will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 with a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Notre Dame du Lac, 555 Plantation St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private. There are no calling hours. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NEADS/ Dogs for Deaf & Disabled Americans, PO Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583 OR Veterans, Inc.-Woman and Children Center on Sheridan St., 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01609.
