Subscription Update Obituary

     Russell Gardner Logan, 53, passed away on Wednesday, August 7th 2013 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA after a short battle with cancer.
     He leaves his beloved wife, Tanya Michelle (Martin) Logan of Duluth, GA; a daughter, Safiyyah Sabree Logan of Worcester; a step-son Tommy Martin of Duluth, GA; his father, Leroy J. Logan, Jr.; three brothers, Leroy Logan, III, Keith Logan, Sr. and David Logan, Sr. all of Worcester; four sisters, Jenise Tuitt of Colorado Springs, CO, Lisa Logan and Lynne Logan both of Worcester and Kim Logan of Houson, TX; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Russell was predeceased by his mother, Janice D. (Dyer) Logan; his grandparents, LeRoy J. Logan, Sr. and Edna Logan, Russell G. Dyer and Thelma Storms.
     Russell was born in Worcester, MA on July 5, 1960. He graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and attended Central New England College in Worcester. Russell was an electronic technician supervisor at Raytheon Company until he relocated to Norcross, GA and joined Honeywell Aerospace where he proudly worked as a radio frequency specialist. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard.
     He was an avid science fiction reader. Russell was loyal, knowledgeable and well respected by all. His energy, inner strength and sense of humor will remain forever in the hearts of those that had the privilege of knowing him.
     Calling hours are Saturday, August 17th from 9:00 until 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service to follow. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Russell’s favorite charity, I Care Atlanta, which provides jobs and support for the homeless.
