Subscription Update Obituary

Ronald F. Dombrowski, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 22, 2021, in Scottsville, KY.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Lillian D. (Allaire) and Charles S. Dombrowski and grew up in Shrewsbury. He was a UMASS alumni with a degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in Forestry.  He owned and operated Central Mass Land Survey for over forty years before retiring in 2019. He was an avid sports fan and watched every Patriots and Red Sox game every year. Those who worked for him affectionately knew him as “The Chief”.  His family knew him as the Rock and protector of our “motley bunch” He was the best big brother, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was one of the most generous human beings to have ever lived.

Ron’s beloved wife of 35 years, Yvette “Donna” M. (Faucher) Dombrowski, passed away in 2017. He leaves his son, Keith C. Dombrowski and his wife, Racheal of Scottsville, KY with whom he lived; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Scarlett and Tristan Dombrowski; his brothers, Rob and his wife, Barbara, Gary and his wife, Eileen, and Paul and his wife, Janine; his sisters, Laurie and her husband, Bill, Denyse and Charlene; his sister-in-law’s, Sr. Mary Anne Faucher and Lorraine Faucher; his nieces, Samantha, Erica, Jill, Emma, Allie, Kyla, Marina, Laura, Tanya and her husband, Joe, Tina and Lynn; his nephews, Kaz and his wife, Merrilly, Derek, Robert, Doug, Andrew, Ted, Brett, Marc, Steve, Chris and William. He was predeceased by his brother, John; and his sisters, Cheryle and Gayle; and his brother-in-law, Marc Faucher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 28th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 1st in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, appropriate social distancing and wearing of a mask will be required. Burial will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
