Subscription Update Obituary

Ronald E. Pelletier,93, of Howe Village, died peacefully, Tuesday, Oct. 17th. in The Meadows of Leicester, after a long battle with bladder cancer. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Germaine (Dubeau) Pelletier. He leaves his sister; Jean A. Lussier and her husband Norman of Spencer, nieces; Denise, Nadine & Norma and nephews; Michael & David. He is predeceased by his twin brother; Donald A. Pelletier in 2004 and his brother; Norman E. Pelletier in 2002.

He was born in Spencer, the son of Eugene and Idella (White) Pelletier. Ronald served his country with the U.S. Navy for over 20 years on the seas. His favorite memories were aboard the USS Midway. While serving in Vietnam, he earned the Purple Heart. His greatest enjoyments were being with his buddies at the American Legion Post 58 in Oxford where he once served as Commander. He loved passing around his humor at Granville’s Pub, especially with his loyal friend “Zig” who visited him weekly.

The family wishes to thank Compassus Hospice, the Staff & nurses at the Meadows of Leicester who took good care of his needs in his last days and Dr. Ryan Filipon, his PCP for the many years of care.

Ronald’s funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 20th with a service at 11a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, Inc., 6 Bixby Rd., Spencer, MA 01562.
