Subscription Update Obituary

     Roger Davis, 77, passed away at his home with his loving wife by his side on Sat. Oct. 22 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Eugenie M.A.Y. (Couture) Davis; 3 children Sheryl Davis of Douglas, Steven Davis and his wife Amy Mackey of Galena, OH and Mark Davis and his wife Norma of Douglas; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Mary Jean Lavallee in 2008; 6 brothers, Robert, Anson, Lester, Colby, Leonard and Norman; and 3 sisters Mabel Dufresue, Florence Scully and Thelma Fedorczuk.

Born in Sutton, MA on July 9, 1939 he was the son of Anson I. and Bernice (Bolster) Davis and lived in Sutton all of his life. He worked as a parts installer for General Motors and as a machinist for the former Whitin Machine Works. Roger served in the U.S Army as an Artillery Supply Specialist during the Vietnam Era. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he loved to spend time with his family and had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

His funeral will be held Fri. Oct. 28 from Jackman Funeral Home, 7 Mechanic St., Douglas with a Mass at 11a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Fri. Oct. 28 from 9-10:30 a.m.
