Subscription Update Obituary

Robert K. Malone, 81, of Worcester, died Monday, December 26th in UMass-Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Bertha S. (Leahy) Malone; three sons, Michael K. Malone and his wife Jacqueline of Dudley, Kevin T. Malone of Worcester, and Francis R. Malone and his wife Mary of Rutland; two daughters, Mary M. Cozza and her husband James of Worcester and Kathleen J. Gloshinski and her husband James of Worcester; a brother, Thomas Malone of Worcester; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Donald Malone.

 He was born in Worcester, the son of Thomas and Edith (Johnson) Malone and graduated from South High School. Mr. Malone was a lithographer and owned and operated Offset Service, retiring in 1994. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion and Our Lady of the Angels Church.

 The funeral is Friday, December 30th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, December 29th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
