Rita C. (Arduini) Raymond, 92, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was born in Shrewsbury, the daughter of Andrew and Eva (Bonardi) Arduini.

Her loving husband of 50 years, Ralph M. Raymond, passed away in 1999. She leaves behind four children.

Rita was a member of The National Massachusetts and Worcester Federations of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs and retained high positions within the Worcester Chapter where she held many events which raised money for multiple scholarships for young women who were to attend college. Rita was also a member of The Soroptimist Club of Worcester and a certified member of The American Red Cross Volunteer Nurses Aides. Rita set records in the town of Paxton collecting for the American Heart Association and broke her own record the next year collecting virtually by herself.

She was president and owner of Ideal Sheet Metal Company of Worcester and Vice-president of Arduini Manufacturing Corporation which was the largest sheet metal fabrication company in New England. Her last business venture was Bhadon Gift Gallery in Worcester which ran for 38 years. As a woman business owner she was featured in a 1966 edition of The Worcester Sunday Telegram Feature Parade.

Rita’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the staff at Christopher House of Worcester. It was greatly appreciated. They would also like to thank Mrs. B. who was Rita’s visiting companion, caretaker and friend for over 5 years.

A committal service for Rita was held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sweetpea for Animals, 1090 Pleasant St., Paxton, MA 01612. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
