Subscription Update Obituary

     Richard C. Quail, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Worcester Health Center. His wife of over 50 years, Marie J. Barch Quail, predeceased him in 2013, three years to the day. He leaves 2 daughters, Lisa A. Quail of Worcester and Karen M. and her husband Paul Cote of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, David P. and his wife Abbey, of Roslindale and Nicole Cote of Worcester; 2 great-grandchildren, Cameron and Declyn; five sisters, Katherine McNamara of Sterling, Marjorie Sullivan and her husband Thomas of Millbury, Theresa Taylor of Texas, Blanche Les and her husband Theodore of Clinton, and Elizabeth Bigelow and her husband Kevin of Hudson; one brother, Michael Quail of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his oldest brother, Rev. Myles Quail, older brother, Alfred T. Quail, and younger brother, Charles Quail.

Richard was born and raised in Clinton, son of Myles and Blanche (Lavoie) Quail. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was machinist and manufacturing supervisor for various companies over the years, including Wheatabix in Clinton. Richard was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, enjoyed going to the casino, and spending time with family.

Richard’s family extends their thanks and gratitude to all the staff at Worcester Health Center and also to Kathleen Juchno for all the care that was given.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26, at 10:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the “Resident Activities Fund” at the Worcester Health Center, 25 Oriol Drive, Worcester MA 01605.
