Subscription Update Obituary

     Raymond L. Allard Jr., 66, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after being stricken ill.

Mr. Allard is survived by his two children; Ashley N. Allard and Adam J. Allard, both of Worcester, MA; a sister, Nancy Harding of Marlborough, MA and her husband George Harding; nieces and nephews; and his former wife Susan J. Allard. Raymond was born in Worcester, son of the late Raymond L. Allard, Sr. and Irene E. (Kozlowski) Allard and is also predeceased by a brother, James Allard.

He is a graduate of North High School in Worcester, MA and later earned an associate’s degree from the Andover Institute of Business. Raymond worked for over 30 years with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier and retired in 2012.

Mr. Allard loved working on his model railroad trains and model cars, as well as listening to his favorite oldies and jazz music, especially the Beatles. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He had a very kind heart and would help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28th from 8:45 to 10 AM. Burial will be privately held in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the scholarship program at the Joy of Music, 1 Gorham Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
