Subscription Update Obituary

     Phyllis Tracy, 88, of Shrewsbury, much loved and sorely missed, Phyllis passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on October 24 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by James D. Tracy, her husband of 63 years. She leaves two children, her daughter, Penny Mohr of Shrewsbury and her son Jim Tracy and his wife Deb of Spencer; five grandchildren, Jay Mohr of Framingham; Tyson Mohr and his wife, Rachel and their baby, Chelsea of Worcester; David and Joshua Rivera and Angela Rivera – Bennett and her husband, Justin and her three children, Joseph, James and Shyann. She leaves a brother, Donald P. Gabree and his wife Charlotte of Millbury and their daughters, Joanne and Cathy and their daughters, Lisa and Arianna. She also leaves a brother, Richard Gabree. Phyllis was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Clifford and Luella (Nadow) Gabree, and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Worcester for many years. An avid Red Sox fan, Mrs. Tracy moved to Shrewsbury 57 years ago, where she and her husband raised their two children.

     Per her request there will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held on Thursday October 31 at 11:00 AM in DIRSA-MORIIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St, Framingham, Ma., 01701.
