Philip J. Giuffrida, 93, formerly of 25 Winslow Ave., died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester after an illness.
He was the husband of Theresa A. (Pessia) Giuffrida who died in 1994.
He leaves two sons, Felix S. Giuffrida and his wife Jane of Fallston, MD, Mark P. Giuffrida of Leicester; two daughters, Mary M. Rattray of Marietta, GA, Cynthia J. Giuffrida of Leicester; a sister, Frances Amara of East Boston; 7 grandchildren, Anthony, Angela & Maria Giuffrida of Leicester, Beth & Michael Giuffrida of MD and Maria & T.J. Rattray of GA and 5 great-grandchildren, Logan, Alyse, Archer, Camden & Giulliana.
Born in Boston, he was the son of Charles S. & Mary (Domico) Giuffrida. He graduated from Bentley College in Waltham.
Mr. Giuffrida was an accountant and was the chief auditor for the city of Worcester, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Leicester. He was also a member of the YMCA and the Knights of Columbus.
He served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
Funeral Services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton are private. There are no calling hours. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing funeral arrangements.
