Subscription Update Obituary

Paul H. Adams, 87 a longtime Worcester resident passed away peacefully Thursday, December 9, 2021, joining in heaven, his wife Barbara, daughter Deborah and four brothers.

Paul was born in Shrewsbury, one of five sons of Louis M. and Mary E. (Leofanti) Adams. Raised in Shrewsbury, Paul graduated from Shrewsbury High School, served for a time in The Marine Corps before returning to Worcester. Paul then began a life as a craftsman, tile setter for several companies and the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union before retiring.

The love of Paul’s life for 57 years, Barbara A. (Miller) Adams passed away on December 22, 2017. He is survived by a daughter, Carol L. Adams of Ware, MA; Many nieces, nephews and extended family members including his niece Mary Adams who watched over him. In addition to his parents, wife, and daughter, four brothers, Richard, Ronald, Jon and Joseph Adams all predeceased him.

Paul was a member of the former, St Margaret Mary Church, the International Association of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 3, the Greendale Men’s Club, the Italian American Victory Club in Shrewsbury, the Shrewsbury Friends, and a Lifetime member of the Friends of Monson Developmental Center.

Paul’s family would like to thank Becky Barthemes for the care and friendship she provided Paul along with The Oasis owners and staff for his loving care in his final days.

A period of calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 15th from 11 to 12 noon followed by a prayer service in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial next to his wife and daughter will be held privately in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Visitation House, 119 Endicott St., Worcester, MA, 01610
