Subscription Update Obituary

     Martin J. “Marty” Horback, Jr., 65, of Worcester died Sunday, August 20th at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his longtime companion, Cheryl Lindberg with whom he lived; a son, Eric Horback of Worcester, three daughters, Ashley Hager and her husband, Everett of Charlton, Lindsay Horback of Worcester and Kathryn Horback of Worcester. He also leaves two brothers, Paul Bachand and his wife, Tina of Spencer and Ronald Bachand and his wife Janice of Exeter, RI; four grandchildren, Brady, Brooke, Sierra and Jonathan and several nieces, nephews and his former wife, Paula (Rano) Riordan. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Hellstrom.
He was born in Worcester the son of Martin J. Horback, Sr. and Meriel (Berberian) Horback. Marty worked for TJX for the past 32 years as a merchandise controller. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Marty was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed visiting Disney and Mystic Seaport. He was a longtime Minnesota Vikings fan. Marty’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
His funeral is Friday, August 25th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, August 24th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
