Marilyn A. (White) Hayes, 89, of Wareham, formerly of Worcester, died March 4, 2018 in Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of the late Johnny W. Hayes and the daughter of the late Edwin and Isabelle (Snelling) White. Her first husband, John P. Simkonis died in 1991.

She was born in Manchester, NH and lived in Barnard, VT and then in Worcester for many years before moving to Wareham in 1993.

Mrs. Hayes worked as a telephone operator for Mass Rehab for many years. Previously she worked for Norton Company in Worcester.

Survivors include her daughter, Paula Studer of East Derry, NH; 2 sons, Ralph Simkonis of Worcester and Paul Simkonis of Orangeburg, FL; 2 stepsons, James W. Hayes of Leicester, and Mark Hayes of FL; 2 stepdaughters, Jacqueline Rogean of Marsons Mills and Sharon Hayes of Lee; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Her funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
