Subscription Update Obituary

     Louisa Rose (Germain) Prest, 84, of Sunderland Road, Worcester, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She would have celebrated her 85 birthday this April 22. She was born and raised in Worcester, the proud daughter of Italian immigrants, Giovanni “John” and Tarquinia “Mary” (Velletri) Germani.
She leaves behind her faithful and loving husband of 65 years, Francis O. Prest; a son, John Prest, his wife Gayle and their three children, Samantha, Melissa and Elizabeth; two daughters, Joeann Zona, her husband Joseph and their three children, Joey, Glen and Jammie and her husband Paul Lussier, and Carrie Prest and her three children, Achille, Alicia and Amber Setaro. She also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren and her only remaining sister, Ann Rucci. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 8 sisters.

Louisa loved her family and enjoyed sitting on her deck in the sun and her Friday mornings at the hair salon. She was a member of the Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, and again on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
