Subscription Update Obituary

Lillian T. (Burns) Zaremba, 82, formerly of Seabury Heights, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 after a short illness at the Beaumont Nursing Center in Worcester.

Her husband William B. Zaremba passed away in 2000.

Lillian leaves a sister Alice M. Laporta and her husband Nicholas of Milford; a brother Frank E. Burns of Worcester; two nieces, Donna M. Burns and Amy Laporta; and a nephew Brian Laporta.

Lillian was predeceased by her nephew Chuck Burns and her great-nephew Brian Colonies.

Lillian was born in Sherbrook, Quebec, daughter of Ernest E. and Tillie (Andrews) Burns and moved to Worcester with her family as a child.

She was a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston and was a teacher in Conn. for many years.

Lillian was a former member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.

There will be a funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 9, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.

Donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Mercy Centre, 25 West Chester St., Worcester 01605.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
