Subscription Update Obituary

     Kenneth W. Lovejoy, Jr., 76, passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 7, 2017. Kenneth leaves behind his beloved wife of fifty years, Antoinette (Ventura) Lovejoy; four devoted children, Kenneth A. Lovejoy and his wife Joanne of Oxford, Diane Lovejoy of North Oxford, Carolyn Butler and her husband Christopher of Rutland, Steven Lovejoy and his wife Rosibel of Leicester; sister, Sarah Vakili of Lebanon, PA; several loving grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was born in Worcester, son of Kenneth W. Lovejoy, Sr. and Ruth (Russell) Lovejoy. He graduated from Commerce High School and attended Our Lady Of Good Counsel. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1959-1963. Ken worked at the Norton Company for 36 years in the HVAC department. He held a strong passion for golf and also enjoyed spending his time gardening and cooking. He was a member of the Greendale Men’s Club and was a Boston sports enthusiast. Ken especially enjoyed many vacations on Cape Cod with his family and friends for over 20 years.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A mass will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady Of Good Counsel, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
