Subscription Update Obituary

     Kenneth E. Chase, 83, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Beaumont at University Campus – Worcester after an illness. He was born in Portland, Maine, the son of Floyd A. and Data (Robbins) Chase and had lived in Shrewsbury since 1971.

His loving wife of 29 years, Marjorie E. (Oikle) Chase, passed away in 1994. He leaves several nephews, nieces, grandnieces, grandnephews; and his loving cat, Saphire, who meant the world to him. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy, and four brothers, Charles, Walter, Everett and Floyd Chase.

After graduating from Deering High School in Portland, Ken joined and served in the Maine National Guard. He worked as a production foreman for Mayfield Plastics in Sutton before retiring. Previously, he was a supervisor for 22 years at Jamesbury Corp. in Worcester. He was a member of Greendale Peoples Church, AARP and World Vision.

A special thanks is extended to the PCAs who were by his side through his illness.

A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to M.S.P.C.A.-Angell, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
