Subscription Update Obituary

     Joseph Patrick Coyne, 48, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Desovich-Coyne and their beautiful sons, Patrick Joseph Coyne and James Philip Coyne; his parents, Patrick J. and Margaret M. “Peggy” (Cahill) Coyne; two sisters, Karen Frances Bruzdoski and her husband Bob of Houston, TX and Mary Margaret Pasquale of Worcester; nephews and nieces, Robert, Liam and Sean Bruzdoski and Connor and Katie Pasquale. Joe also leaves many aunts and uncles in Massachusetts, Ireland and England; several cousins, including Danny Cahill, Sean and Colm Coyne; and many close friends.

He was born and raised in Worcester and graduated from Saint John’s High School. Joe graduated from UMass Amherst School of Engineering and UMass Lowell where he earned his Master’s in Environmental Engineering. He worked for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection for 13 years. He was a member of United Parish of Auburndale Church in Newton. He loved to play basketball and go sailing with his dad. Most importantly, Joe loved spending time with his sons at Old Orchard Beach, Truro, the Vermont cabin, Santa’s Village, water parks and bouncy houses. He loved the Red Sox, New England Patriots and he was a fantasy football expert and champion.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 3:00 until 7:00pm in the CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester. A time of sharing will take place at 7:00pm at the conclusion of the visiting hour. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 10:00am at United Parish of Auburndale Church, 64 Hancock Ave, Newton Center, MA. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton will take place on Friday at 2:00pm. The funeral procession to the cemetery will leave from Callahan~Fay~Caswell Funeral Home at 1:30pm.
