Subscription Update Obituary

   Joseph J. Ouellet, 87, of Worcester died on Sunday, September 28th in his home after a short illness.

   Mr. Ouellet is survived by his wife of 61 years Lorraine M. (Vautour) Ouellet; three sons Louis Ouellet of Brookfield, MA, George Ouellet of Worcester and Alvin Ouellet of Brockton, MA; two daughters Louise Houston of Worcester and Diane Ouellet of North Brookfield, MA; a brother Jean Paul Ouellette of Cocagne, N.B. Canada, three sisters Suzanne Babineau of St. Louis, N.B., Canada, Alice DesContes and Rosalie Chase both of Black’s Harbour, N.B., Canada; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

   Joseph was born in St. Charles, New Brunswick, Canada son of the late Fidele and Catherine (Daigle) Ouellet and served in the Canadian Army. He is predeceased by a son Leo P. Ouellet; four brothers Emilien, Gerard, Joseph and Albert and three sisters Marie Anne, Emilienne and Lydia. Mr. Ouellet worked as a truck driver for the Worcester Envelope Company until his retirement.

   He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, a former member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council #88.

   The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 1st from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St., with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday, September 30th from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Program 120 Thomas St. Worcester, MA 01608.
