Subscription Update Obituary

     Jewell T. (Trammell) Graves, 79, of Worcester, died February 18th in the Worcester Healthcare Center. She is survived by her husband, James Graves, Jr,; two daughters, Cora M. Pridgen and her husband, Frank and Eddi M. Williams all of Worcester; two step-sons, William Graves of Baltimore and Eddie Green Murphy of New Castle, PA; five step-daughters, Hope Hope of Baltimore, Lunece Tuson and her husband, Cazzie, Wynell Dessau, Helen Dassau all of New Castle, PA and Jamie Graves of Baltimore; two sisters, Rose Greene of Rome, GA and Eula Williams of Florida; five grandchildren, Patrick S. Williams and his wife, Susan, David K. Wood, DuVone W. Mitchell and his wife Tonia, Dawana L. Perry and her husband, Winston and Thurman A. Hargrove, III; 5 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a step-son. Michael Graves, a step-daughter Elizabeth Graves and her grandson, Teral L. Williams.
She was born in Thompsonville, GA the daughter of Henderson and Elga (Broughton) Trammell. Jewell had worked as a unit aide at Hartford Hospital before retiring. She was a member of the Kingdom of Christ Church and an honorary member of the 2nd Baptist Church. Jewell enjoyed singing Gospel music, Bible Study and was a devout church goer, She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and time spent with family, especially her grandchildren
Her funeral is Monday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the 2nd Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street. A visitation period will be held from 10:00 until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
