Subscription Update Obituary

     Jeffrey Simonelli, 58, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 after a brief illness.
Jeff was born in Worcester on March 26, 1959 a son of Alberto and Elizabeth (Burns) Simonelli. He attended St. Peter Marian High School where he graduated in 1977. After graduation, Jeff enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country. Following his departure from the military he attended Wentworth College where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Engineering. Jeffrey worked at Data Com as a data communications engineer for many years until his retirement.
Jeff was an avid hiker and mountain climber. An impressive achievement was climbing Mt. Monadnock 31 times in one year. He was a world traveler, avid hockey player and snow boarder. Jeff was a fan of New England sports teams.
He is survived by his parents, Alberto and Elizabeth Simonelli of Worcester; a brother, Michael Simonelli of Worcester; a sister, Linda Carr and her husband, Scott of Sutton; nephews, Matthew and Alex Carr; a niece, Diane Allain and her son, Clayton; a sister in law, Elaine (Manzi) Simonelli.
Jeffrey is predeceased by his wife, Louise (Carnevale) Simonelli; two brothers, David P. Simonelli and Stephen Simonelli; a nephew, Michael Simonelli
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 2nd from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 3rd at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bridge of Central Massachusetts, 4 Mann St., Worcester, MA 01602.
