Jeffrey Earl Mead passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, October 13, 2023, after enduring a period of illness. Jeffrey was born December 9, 1955, in Worcester and was raised on Manor Road in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High and attended Dean College and Utah State.

Over decades he built a career in manufacturing with time spent at Compaq, Digital, Kaman, Bose, and Fiberoptic Components. He is remembered by his colleagues as “the glue that held the team together’.
Jeffrey was passionate about music, played guitar and keyboard, and loved open mics nights. He was known in his circle as the friend who would fix your computer over a cup of coffee and will be missed for his great sense of humor. He adored cats and always had a furry best friend throughout his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and visiting his favorite coffee shops. His hobbies included working on computers, golfing, fishing, and skiing.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Casandra Mead; his son, Jeffrey Mead Jr and his wife Jessica; his grandsons Jeffrey Daniel Mead and Hudson William Mead; his sister Roberta Lemoine, his brother Ronald Mead, and his cat Bella. Jeffrey will join his parents, Roy & Barbara Mead, in heaven.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
