Subscription Update Obituary

     Jeannie M. (Santos) Wilson “Mimsie”, 57, of Leicester passed away peacefully Thursday, July 21st at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. She leaves her husband of 23 years, Glenn O. Wilson; two sons, Mario Santos and his fiancé, Tina Rivera and Tyrell Williams and his fiancé, Thuy Tran all of Worcester; two brothers, Joseph Santos and his wife, Brenda of Worcester and David Santos of Quebec, Canada; two sisters, Mary Jane Molly and her husband, Frank of Quebec, Canada and Linda Ward and her husband, James of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Marcel, Joshua, Tiana, Jonathan, Mario Jr., Alicea and Esaias; three great grandchildren, Mulan, Maya, and Danazyah . She also leaves her dearest niece LaNisha and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Clarence E. and Jennie (Mitchell) Santos. Jeannie graduated from the former David Hale Fanning Girl’s Trade School and Becker College Nursing Program. She was a devoted registered nurse for over 30 years whose compassion and love touched many lives wherever she worked until retiring in 2015 due to illness. She was a creative self-taught artist who enjoyed reading, music and sending personal cards to family and friends. Jeannie’s great love for her dogs blessed our household including her faithful donations to Baypath Humane Society. As a giving person she will be remembered by her infectious smile, love for family and friends, tenacious spirit and natural ability to make you laugh. She made a remarkable impact in her life and many others, especially her close knit family. She will be cherished dearly, loved eternally and remembered forever.

Her funeral is Wednesday, July 27th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 AM in All Saint’s Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, July 27th from 8:30 until 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
